Pemmican's Premium Cut Beef Jerky

Our first review! To get things started, we picked up a bag of New Style (whatever that means) Pemmican Premium Cut Beef Jerky. While the flavor wasn't awful, the consistency was. Four of five reviewers noted the jerky was "dry" or "tough". One stated the smell was reminiscent of dog food. Hmmm...once you get past the dry texture (make sure you have a nice cool drink to wash it down), the taste isn't so bad. Although, it isn't the best.
We paid $4.49 for a 3.25 ounce bag at Stater Brothers Market in Southern California...definitely not a best bet. We'll keep searching!
